Another popular effect is the pop-up: When turning the pages, a paper object unfolds out of the middle of the book and holds out towards the viewer. The two-dimensional layer of the book’s page is completed by an extensive effect.
Pop-ups are a good possibility to spatially demonstrate explanatory models and to illustrate specific facts in a charming way. And some viewer may feel reminded of the jolly world of children’s books by the folded objects.
The pages of the book are made of especially resistant materials. If it makes sense conceptually, we do also use combinations of materials and special paper folding techniques.
